Understanding alloClae™

alloClae™ Structural Adipose Tissue is a sterile adipose tissue allograft which comes ready to use. It is intended to be applied subcutaneously to localized areas of the body to provide additional cushioning, support and volume and can be used anywhere fat tissue naturally exists. This unique filler is made by refining purified, donated adipose (fat) tissue, which retains naturally occurring growth factors, proteins, and collagen, allowing alloClae™ to perform like natural fat tissue where it’s applied.

How alloClae™ Works

As a Human Cell & Tissue Product (HCT/P), alloClae™ is derived from donated human fat tissue processed and distributed in compliance with strict requirements from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) (21 CFR Part 1271). These requirements mean that the donated tissue is carefully screened and tested by a lab registered with the FDA, using test kits licensed, approved or cleared by the FDA, for relevant risk factors and thoroughly tested for relevant communicable diseases. Each donor is tested and shown to be negative or nonreactive for the following:

To create alloClae™, the tissue is then precision-processed to remove DNA and its reactive components, leaving de-identified fat cells, and their naturally occurring growth factors, proteins and collagen. Prior to shipment, alloClae™ is sterilized using gamma radiation to remove possible contaminants.

Data from animal studies shows that once the product has been injected, stem cells attach within the initial 24-48 hours. By two weeks, the injected adipocytes have matured, with early integration into the host tissue by 4 weeks. At 3 months following the procedure, there is robust integration of the adipocytes, with stable results seen by 6 months.
