Chemical Peels:

Chemical Peels: Superficial, medium or deep chemical peels: Chemical peels from Skinceuticals and HydraFacial® are used to target specific signs of aging, including fine wrinkles and pigmentation.  The peels take 20-30 minutes to perform, and are done in the office without the need for anesthesia.  Patients may return to work immediately following superficial and medium depth peels. Deep peels require a period of 10-14 days for recovery.

Micro-Needling:

Micro-Needling: Automated Micro-Needling (also known as Collagen Induction Therapy or CIT) is a new innovation in aesthetic medicine for treating the appearance of fine lines, acne scars and improvement of the skin’s overall appearance.  During this procedure, controlled micro-injuries are created in the skin in order to naturally produce collagen and elastin. The result is softer wrinkles and fine lines.  With deeper treatments, scar tissue, stretch marks, and pigmentation can be reduced in appearance.  The treatment is performed under local anesthesia, and takes 30 minutes for treatment of the full face.  Patients will note redness of the skin which may last for up to 24 hours.

Microdermabrasion:

The skin is abraded with very fine bristle tips, removing the top layer of the skin only.  It is typically performed immediately prior to a chemical peel for improved penetration of the chemicals. In some cases, it is performed alone to gently refresh the skin.

Dermabrasion:

The skin is anesthetized and then abraded with fine bristles to reach the dermis. This treatment is ideal for those who wish to address fine lines, sun damage, acne scars, and uneven texture. The skin is red and may ooze for 4-5 days, and therefore it is imperative to calculate this downtime into your treatment plan. After this period, the skin begins to regenerate with softer and more even skin.
