VISIA® Skin Analysis System

Dr. Naidu is very pleased to offer facial analysis with use of the 7th Generation VISIA® Skin Analysis System. The VISIA® enhances the patient’s facial rejuvenation consultations by recording and measuring surface and subsurface skin conditions. Items which can be visualized include:

wrinkles: wrinkles are identified as furrows, folds, or creases within the skin. They are typically associated with a decrease in skin elasticity and significant prior sun exposure.
texture: skin smoothness is analyzed by identifying gradations in color from the surrounding skin tone
pores: circular surface openings of sweat gland ducts
UV spots: UV spots occur as a result of melanin accumulated below the skin surface secondary to sun damage.These are photographed with ultraviolet illumination with the VISIA systeas they are not always visible with normal lighting.
brown spots: these include hyperpigmentation, freckles, lentigines, and melasma. Brown spots occur as a result of excess melanin.
red areas: redness can occur as a result of acne, inflammation, rosacea, and spider veins.
porphyrins: bacterial excretions that can become lodged in pores and lead to acne.
